
Pianist, educator and composer born in Heredia, Costa Rica. He began his studies at the Conservatorio de Castella, graduating with a double major in piano and percussion, and went on to university studies in Jazz and Caribbean music at the Puerto Rico Conservatory of Music.

Pablo Campos has performed at major jazz festivals including the 62nd Monterey Jazz Festival (California, USA), Exit Zero Jazz Festival (Cape May, New Jersey), New Generation Jazz Fest (Monterey, California), the 39th Festival de Jazz Plaza (Havana, Cuba), the Heineken Jazz Festival — Ventana al Mar (San Juan, Puerto Rico), the “Jazz is Back” Festival (Croatia) and Guatemala Jazz Fest — IGA (Guatemala City), among others. He has also performed in venues across the United States, Guatemala, El Salvador, Cuba, Panama, Puerto Rico, Slovenia, Croatia, Italy and Serbia.
Pablo has played and performed alongside artists such as Pete Rodríguez, Barry Finnerty, Chad Lefkowitz, Greg Osby, Luis Bonilla, Frederico Heliodoro, Diego Urcola and Charlie Sepúlveda, among others.
Since 2017 he has devoted himself, through his Jazz Studio, to private and group lessons and workshops focused on teaching jazz and musical improvisation — essential tools for several generations of musicians in Costa Rica.

Pablo has released three studio productions — Enfoque (2019), Mi Proceso (2024) and his most recent album, Por Media Calle (2026) — in addition to many appearances as a sideman on jazz, salsa, trova and incidental-music albums.
